Our 2022 Roundup - Lemonade Dolls

Our 2022 Roundup

Another year done and dusted, but 2022 has been a pretty big, if not the biggest year for us here at Lemonade. A year of many firsts, our 2022 has been packed full of exciting new projects, product launches and partnerships, and it’s been an amazing year for us as a company, and our most profitable. So we’re looking back on our favourite 2022 milestones that made this year so amazing and here’s a big cheers to 2023, we’re working on some big things for next year and we can’t wait to take you along on the ride with us.

We Got a New Look

One of the biggest things we’ve ever done, in early 2022 we totally overhauled our branding and got a brand new look, logo and branding which was many months in the making. This time last year we still had our old branding and, to be totally honest, we were stuck in a bit of a rut and we knew we would have to do something drastic in the new year in order to stay ahead as a company. And voila, we got a total makeover! This wasn’t just changing our logo, we totally redesigned our logo and colour scheme; we introduced our new biodegradable packaging and re-wrote all of our product descriptions, even Lemoji got a brand new look.

Choose Love
When Lemonade was started we always aspired to work closely with charities who share our views on social justice and female empowerment. Choose Love, to us, was the perfect charity to do this with, their work providing advocacy for refugees and displaced around the world and working with grassroots organisations who provide help on the ground has always been so inspiring to Lemon and the team here at Lemonade, so finally working in partnership with them was such an amazing moment for the brand.

Since we began our work with Choose Love we’ve raised over £3000, held two extra special tit talk events including a charity ride with Psycle, and we’ve donated over 5000 pairs of undies to female refugees in Greece. Thank you so much to the amazing Phili at Choose Love for trusting us and we’re so excited for another year of working together.

Irida trip
Another amazing thing that came from working with Choose Love was meeting the amazing people over in Greece at the Irida Women’s centre. We were so inspired by the work that they do, Lemon and Hattie decided to go over to Thessaloniki to meet the organisers and the women at Irida and see the huge impact they’re making in person, we also launched our inspired period drive as part of the trip, where with help from our amazing customers we raised over £500 to give female refugees the period care they need. Going to Greece was such an amazing experience which we will never forget and we got to meet some amazing women and hear their inspiring stories. Keep an eye on our socials, where we will be releasing some exclusive content from our Irida trip, which we’re so excited to share with you all.

Our team got a bit bigger, oh and we got our very first office!

One of the best things about expanding as a company is being able to hire more fabulous people to work at Lemonade and grow as a team! We added (x) brand new people to our team this year, growing our company and getting to work with such a great bunch of people is probably one of the main things that’s made this year so special. We also finally got our very first office space! We’ve come a long way from working in Lemons kitchen back when we very first started, we finally put our name on the door of our fab space in Soho where we’ve been working and where Hattie has been hosting our Tik Tok and instagram lives from.

We had a pop up at Urban Outfitters
Opening our pop up shop at Urban Outfitters’ flagship store on Oxford street was an amazing moment for us; bringing our inclusive size range to the high street, getting to meet some of our fabulous customers in person and seeing new people buying their first pair of Lemonade undies. We also got to do an extra special tit talk event at Urban Outfitters to celebrate the pop up where Lemon was joined by the gorgeous Sophie Tea and content creator Stephanie Yeboah for an inspiring talk about social media and body positivity.

We added lots of newness to our website and social media channels
2022 for us was the year of newness, and our brand new website needed some fresh undies to complete it! We launched our two-tone tutti frutti and trilogy of lace ranges this year, and we added new styles, colourways and fits to our best selling everyday, picot lace and mesh ranges. And we needed to do a lot of shoots to capture all this new product! We did three big shoots this year, and we just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of the amazing models, makeup artists and photographers who’ve worked on our shoots this year!

We got our first Female investor
Something we’ve been working towards for ages, this November we finally were able to announce our first female investor, the amazing Joanna Jenson. As a female founded brand, reflecting our ethos of female empowerment behind the scenes has always been our biggest priority. Working with Joanna marks four years of hard work securing an investor as amazing as her, and hopefully inspires other women in positions to invest, to invest in female founded companies and support women-built startups.

To all of our customers, even if you’ve just bought a single pair of undies this year, thank you, your support means the absolute world to us, and all of the amazing things we’ve done this year wouldn’t have been possible without you! We’ve got some seriously amazing plans for 2023 and we can’t wait to take you along on this crazy ride.

Happy new year dolls!
