Tit Talks: Diet Culture Can Do One

We have always told you girls from the start your body isn’t your worth. Us dolls don’t have to feel super guilty after a festivity of eating, a year of delicious foods or the holiday romance with our food baby. The diet culture has invaded our self-worth for far too long, trying to weave its way in, telling us what we shouldn’t eat or forcing us on insane juice diets.

We have had enough, we are so over a poisonous diet culture being pressured on us to look a certain way, feel super unhealthy and absolutely drained. Food is tasty and amazing for us, it doesn't hurt you. We are allowed to eat what the hell we want and not feel guilty about it. Gravy and mayonnaise exists for enjoyment, not avoidant.

Your weight gain or weight loss has nothing to do with the person you are today. The foods you eat do not make you a bad person, you eat what you enjoy and what makes you happy because your mental health is the most important of all.

The diet culture tells us to exclude carbs from our diet, but why? Carbs give us energy. The energy to talk to friends, the energy to speak up for ourselves and others about identity. The energy to have gratitude and solidarity. The energy to accept yourself as the badass you are. Stop feeding your mind with other people’s insecurities and start feeding it with self-love and acceptance.

There's no rush to lose weight, if you want to start a plan to become toned or have a little weight off, that is absolutely up to you, but please be healthy with your choices. Remember feeling full is a warm comfortable feeling, so be kind to your stomach. A diet is like a religion or lifestyle you shouldn't force it on someone else just because that's the way you want your life or what you believe in. Not everyone wants that for themselves and that is okay.

If they aren’t happy in their body but you’re happy in yours, why should you listen to them? Why should you depend on someone else for your own happiness. They see things differently to you and if you find your own path jiggling and appreciating your belly rolls and it offends anyone, so be it. You see things through your eyes and measure your own value with your own tape. All we ask is, do not poison yourself with unrealistic measures, a tape can only measure what is real. The diet culture makes us angry and we are determined to not let it corrupt our mission we have for our LD community. Always fight the fight!
